British_Columbia condos BuildingDigger.com Interview
Name of your website?

BuildingDigger.com

Your name?

Jacob & Mike

Your Location (city, etc)

Vancouver

Please give us a short summary of your website?

Our website is a directory of all the new condo developments in Greater Vancouver. We give details about all the New Buildings and allow Realtors, Developers and the general public to post their Assignment properties for sale.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

Most developers don't allow you to post Assignment listings on our local MLS Real Estate system. I felt it was important to provide the public with a great source buy and sell apartment assignment contracts.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

We've been doing internet marketing for about 6 years and our first site launched was our personal Real Estate site.

How did you decide on a name for your website?

We came up with our website name based on our real estate group called the Digger Group. All of our websites are based on the Digger branding.

What makes it different from other, similar offerings?

We really don't have much competition on the internet when it comes to Assignments. We are quite unique because we allow everyone to post their own properties for sale. We preload all of the buildings into the system so the user only has to put their unit number, contact info and hit the upload button. We make it super easy.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

Our goal is to keep running the site and hopefully everyone in Real Estate will recognize our site as the portal for selling Assignment properties online.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

We spend a lot of time maintaining the website and keeping it current. We do make money from it by helping clients sell their condo investments. It's more of a service to the public though.

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

We have had some unexpected headaches to deal with. There are some Real Estate project marketing companies who feel we're a threat to them. They do their best to make sure we don't advertise any of their properties. I believe this behavior is a disservice to the general public.

What is your website address?
