California foreclosed homes RealtyStore Interview
Name of your website?

RealtyStore

Your name?

Chris

Your Location (city, etc)

Westlake

Please give us a short summary of your website?

We provide foreclosure listings. Our database has foreclosed homes in all 50 states. There is also a foreclosure tutorial.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

To help people find home foreclosures and ultimately cheap homes to live in, because not everyone can afford a home.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

2004, Realtystore.com

How did you decide on a name for your website?

It made sense, a store for foreclosed homes.

What makes it different from other, similar offerings?

Easy to use features and navigation.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

Provide more people with foreclosure listings, then be able to work with communities to promote "green projects", such as plant trees and clean up the environment.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

The more time and money put into this the greater the outcome.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

Hire more developers.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

Yes we could keep up with the demand.

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

High traffic volume.

What has been your biggest challenge?

The website re-design.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

PPC Ads have been the primary source.

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

It hasn't differed from my expectations at all.

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

4 years and plan to keep it up for a very long time, 10+ years.

What will the future hold for foreclosures?

I wish I knew :)

What is your website address?

RealtyStore
