To create a community resource for real estate news and perspectives.

Wordpress, self hosted. Because I had read this platform would give me the most control long term.

Real Estate, duh.

? None, so far.

Use bullet points, keep it short ( I suck at that), mix up the format with video, surveys, pictures and slide shows, know your audience and write to them, and write what you are passionate about
What are some things you would NEVER blog about?
anything that trashes the rep of any collegue

Yes and no, not that I can see.

Um, not sure how to answer that. I have a Digg acct. That's about it.

yes. excellent time suck.
What promotional techniques work best for you and why?
right now word of mouth and google rankings. I think they bring the most relevant reader to a hyper local blog
If you could post a blog on any blog in the world, which one would it be and why?
Chris Brogan. He has really informed my universe regarding the power and uses of web 2.0
What mistakes have you made that you could warn others about?
I don't know that this is a mistake, per se. I spend a lot of time on a steep learning curve. Way too much time, really. I would warn others to try to short cut that with help from experts
