Please give us a short summary of your website?

Professional Albanian real estate services. View locations via Google satellite images. Zoom in & check available property. No viewing fees. Real estate in Tirana, Durres, Vlora and Saranda.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

We already have a real estate company in Croatia, so it was a natural step for us to expand to some of our neighbouring countries.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

We launched Advantage Croatia in 2003

How did you decide on a name for your website?

We wanted something simple and easy to remember, but also something with a positive feeling.

What makes it different from other, similar offerings?

The integration of a Google maps search for properties has definitely put us ahead of the competition.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

To be one of the most recognised real estate agencies along the Adriatic.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

We've done well so far, but it's taken a lot of time and effort. but if it wasn't worth it we wouldn't be doing it!

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

Do some more print advertising, and maybe some posters in the airports.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

We built it with expansion in mind, so yes.

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

A lot of spam mail, but we've changed all the email addresses on the site now so they're shown using javascript, which has helped cut down a lot.

What has been your biggest challenge?

Integrating the Google maps system.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

Google AdWords.

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

A lot more time consuming than I initially expected.

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

I've been running it for about 5 years now, so all the major headaches are out of the way, so I guess I'll keep it up until I retire!

Do you enjoy what you do?

Yes, or else I wouldn't still be doing it.
