Florida Condos for Less Interview

Name of your website?

Florida Condos for Less

Your name?

Ozzy Morenza

Your Location (city, etc)

Miami

Please give us a short summary of your website?

Just reading the URL, you don't have to think much, this website is about condos, for sale or rent. The website is very straight forward and easy to use, it will give you several locations to choose from, Brickel, Downtown, Coral Gabels etc.. then you get a list of condos in that area, you click on rentals or sales, and you get all the information you are loking for, the list is updated daily, that's it.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

I'm a real estate broker, and the web has become and is the number one tool that most people looking to buy or rent are using today, it is growing daily, and it is only natural, since you can find full descriptions, and pictures of what you are looking for online 24hrs a day, saving you alot of time from having to drive around. specially when it comes to condos, websites like the one I have are extremely usefull.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

My website is relatively new, it has been around for less than two years, not a long time, but the web is also pretty new in itself.

How did you decide on a name for your website?

I think the name of a website is important, since you are basically marketing some product or service, so when someone is doing a search or you advertise your website, I think the name should help give the potential customers a quick hey I think this is what I'm looking for.

What makes it different from other, similar offerings?

I like this question, there are many websites, specialy in my field of real estate, if you have ever searched and been to a real estate website, it is very common to see information about the realtor, about the company, pictures of the company and the realtor. I have found that most websearchers are looking for property information, they want to know what is available, pricing, pictures, information about the unit or building, they don;t want to have to login to get this information, they don't want to give personal information to get it either, they don't want to send a request for the information and wait to be contacted later, and who likes to be give email infomarion to later be hounded with alll kinds of marketig emails later, we get enought junk email already. so website gives you acces to the information you are looking for, with no login required, nothing but the information you are looking for.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

Eventual goal is simple, to provide the best Real Estate website, so the visitors to the website are happy, and eventually they contact me to help them get what they are looking for, WIN, WIN as they say. This is a job for me, I enjoy it, and I make my living doing this, this is not a hobby or part time situation for me, this is important for my clients. I'm in the processs of making a large upgrade to the site, the new site will look better, have more information, on the buildings more pictures, again everything that people are looking for and are interested in.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

Like I mentioned earlier, the web is the number one place for my clients to find me, so it is the best money I can spend to find them.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

pay others to do what I do now in addding infomration/content to the website.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

Yes, I know how to work a business, and growth can always come with problems, but like anything, if you have the experience, and you understand that you must try to stay ahead of customer demands, manage growth by investing in the infrastracture of the business, and adding the people and tools you need to keep up with the demand, not saying this is easy.

What has been your biggest challenge?

finding the information I need for the website content, finding a good web designer that keeps his commitments, and can actually put together a website based on the stated project goals, and staying with a schedule, dependable webdesigner.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

I'm still working on this, but the design of the website is very important because that will help it in time move up the search engines, and the tried and true method of advertising in prominent locations that will get the exposure you need for the signs you put out. the more people that see your signs, the more people that may vist your website.

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

the site has been arornd for less than two years, I expect to keep it up forever :)

What is your website address?
