France's Shaktydome

There is something in domes that never fail to make us feel bewildered and amazed. Does it have something to do with the rounded shape? The seemingly difficult engineering?

One thing's for sure. Geodesic domes will never vanish in contemporary architecture.

Here in France, a bastion of art and architecture, domes have taken on a certain level popularity. There are a number of dome-shaped structures here, one of which is the Shaktydome in Southern France.
