14% of Illinois home mortgage loans in foreclosure or behind

The signs are all there: mortgages in foreclosure or behind payments, credit limits slashed, payments on loans behind. Illinois is ranked 14th. in delinquencies, and 17th. in foreclosures. According to the Mortgage Banks Association. Also, very troubling, the numbers are on the rise. Foreclosures are up from 9% a year go. There have been signs that the recession may slowly be receding in some areas. This article is revealing and gives us the full impact of the dire situation. Will there be relief in early 2010 as has been said?
