Mortgage modification efforts in full force in Indiana

Banks in Indiana are doing the right thing and are offering modifications to the mortgages for some of its borrowers instead of pulling the plug and just foreclosing on them.

Fifth Third Bank has not only been offering concessions in interest rates to improve the buyers' position, but they have more than doubled the staff in their mortgage loss / hardship assistance departments and allow customers to fill out documents online.
