in 1999, it was the same URL but just an older version of the site

its the company name

The amount of free information that can be read about investing abroad.

To keep it to promote our business.

Very well. Its a great source of leads.
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
Add alot more content, especially new media content like video and podcasts. I'd also like it to be more interactive, more web 2.0

Definitely.
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
SEO is the biggest headache. Cost wise its been setting up XML feeds.
What has been your biggest challenge?
Marketing the site and bringing in relevant traffic.
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
Organic SEO and then e-mail marketing.
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
I didn't expect competition in the search engines to be so tough
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
8 years so far, will keep going as long as the business is alive
