Our website focus on hospitality estate for sale in Mauritius including hotel for sale, villas & bungalows for sale, IRS Projects, RES Projects, Beach Front Land for Sale etc.
What inspired you to launch your own website?
We are professional estate agency and land promoters, the best way to advertise our availabilities (products) is through the web, hence, we decided to create our own website to show what we have available around the world.
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
Our first website www.mauritius-itd.com was launch in March 2006 and it is still online. The main objective of this website is to promote Mauritius destination for worldwide tourists.
How did you decide on a name for your website?
The name of our website is based on the name of our company 'ITD VIP Promoters Ltd', the word ITD is for our first company 'International Tourism Discovery Ltd', VIP is for the type of services we offer to all our customers and the word 'Promoters' is to refer to our estate agency services.
What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?
We are professional dealing with direct owners, here in Mauritius, there are many unprofessional estate agent who even advertise products that they are not mandated for, our team are on the road everyday to meet owners and prepare agreements with them to guaranty potential buyers very good negotiated prices and good product quality.
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
Our website is related directly to our company, hence, no way that we intend to sell it in a near future, our main objective is to keep it for our company income, increase its visibility, offer more and more genuine products and be well known worldwide with our website branding.
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
Actually, we just launch this new website and the estate services, based on its income, which is budgeted to be millions of dollars in a near future, we'll invest very much in terms of advertising to reach quickly a higher level internationally.
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
First of all, we'll change the look of the website, our current website www.itdrealestate.mu was developed by through the free website creator www.syntasite.com, hence, we did not have a great choice of layout and design and need to choose the simplest one due to budget availability.
If we got the necessary budget, our first change on the website will be to look for a professional development company to work out a different and more attractive layout much more related to our paradise island and estate agency environment.
The development will be followed with a data base implementation so that we can update our properties availabilities quicker and more professionally since actually we need to update each new property one by one without a proper display database.
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
Of course, as mention above, our team is composed of professionals and motivated people in the field of real estate and land promoter, our main objective as any other business is to get much more clients and demands, we work 24 hours a day and 7 days a week including weekend and holidays.
Our team is actually composed of 5 full time staffs running day and night to meet our clients requirements and we are even ready to increase our work force if necessary just to get more prospects and deals locally and internationally.
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
Actually, our company income is based on this website, we just launch it and need to promote it, of course, if it was done by professional in a better, it would attract more visitors. Mauritius is becoming one of the most interesting island for estate investment including hotels, irs projects, villas, marinas etc. Our main headache is to reach a higher level quicker so that we can reach a maximum number of clients as possible.
What has been your biggest challenge?
Our main challenge is to demonstrate to clients all around that we offer a better service approach that our current local competitors. The main issue in the estate business environment is not only to make maximum benefit but also to give the best genuine price to customers and good quality of products.
Hence, our main challenge, is to make prospects understand that we are really different from our other competitors and that our wish is to serve them and get only our dues to grow our company and remain there years after years to serve them with trust and honesty.
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
Till now, due to lack of necessary budget, we have not been able to look around for the best promotional items but we hope that soon, we'll be able to look forward for some good advertising budget.
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
The website www.itdrealestate.mu has been launched only for a week, internationally based, we have lots of demands for the products that we are advertising but it is very difficult to bring potential visitors to our website, if at least we are able to get around 50 visitors daily, we are sure to concrete at least one deal per week, one deal means lot of income.
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
As mention above, this website is the main tool for our company prosperity, we need by all the way to find a solution to bring more visitors to our website and at the same time increase demands and conclude more deals.
