Name of your website?

Charlotte Real Estate - Buyers Agent - Charlotte Homes for Sale

Your name?

Julie Tuggle

Your Location (city, etc)

Charlotte

Please give us a short summary of your website?

Carolina Buyer's Agent specializes in Buyer Representation Only, giving buyers the negotiating advantage throughout the home purchase process! We're one of the only real estate firms in the Charlotte area that doesn't take listings or represent sellers, so you'll benefit from our negotiating expertise without ever risking dual agency at any time during the purchase process. And best of all, the builder or seller will pay our fee on your behalf!

What inspired you to launch your own website?

When I decided to open my own company as a way to generate business.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

Same one - launched in 1999.

How did you decide on a name for your website?

Used the most descriptive title that would be most useful to people looking to move to Charlotte, NC.

What makes it different from other, similar offerings?

Carolina Buyer's Agent specializes in buyer representation only, giving the buyers the negotiating advantage throughout the home purchase process.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

Keep it for income.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

It's good. We're a small company, but we're not greedy - That's why we represent buyers only - no sellers because we don't believe in dual agency because of the conflict of interests it presents in negotiations.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

Don't know that I'd change it other than adding a few more pages.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

Yes, we'd just hire more buyer's agents.

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

The lack of web site traffic due to the real estate market being so bad in other areas of the country.

What has been your biggest challenge?

Paying the bills while business is down.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

Good web site optimization - keywords and descriptive copy in the text.

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

There is a lot of competition from other sites who buy incoming links to artifically get higher rankings. This is hard to compete with.

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

If I take it down, I won't get big gains either, so I guess I'll keep it up!

What is your favorite part of the real estate business?

Negotiating a great deal for our buyers!

What is your website address?
