U.S. Property Advertiser Interview

By Interviewer at 10/31/09 07:56

Name of your website?

U.S. Property Advertiser

Your name?

Edward Dupre

Your Location (city, etc)

Eugene, Oregon

Please give us a short summary of your website?

Our website has been marketing properties for sale by owner for about 7 years now.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

I found out there was a growing need for people to be able to sell property without a real estate agent.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

It was a business directory in Eugene, Oregon back in 2001.

How did you decide on a name for your website?

I needed one that showed potential property buyers and sellers what we offered

What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?

We write the ads for our clients and actually do marketing online for them rather than just posting a website and letting everything be automated.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

Keep it for an income but I am open to offers!

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

Very well!

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

These are trade secrets that I am unwilling to share but I will admit that if I had more investment funds we could make this a household name.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

Absolutely.

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

Things have been going very smoothly since the beginning.

What has been your biggest challenge?

Keeping up with the search engines and their keyword results.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

Organic search results.

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

No.

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

About 7 years and have plans to keep it running for many more years to come.

What type of property ads can you do?

All types of real estate ads.

What is your website address?

U.S. Property Advertiser
