When did you start your website and why?

The website was started in 2004 and completed in 2005, in time for the pre-sales to begin.

Please give us a short summary of your website, business model, etc

This is just a simple, good looking, well-designed website for a prestige Condo complex (a renovated greystone building in historic Old Montreal).

What was your biggest mistake?

We did not have enough condo units to meet the incredible demand!

Who maintains your website and why?

Right nowm we plan to add some more features, since the primary purpose of the site has been served and we do not want to just let it go. Suggestions are welcome (but we will not want to change the focus itself, such as making a site about something else entirely).

Tell us how your business has benefitted from your website?

This website was the first we ever used to promote a real estate project. The result was fantastic! We will never try another Condo project without this type of site.

What are your views on ecommerce and the future of the internet?

Well, that is the future, isn’t it! Perhaps next time we will be able to walk you through the floorplan and take your Condo order (including your credit check) all on-line!

What are your views on Search Engine Optimization (SEO)?

This is more and more critical, as there are millions of new pages added to the web every month, if not every week. With so much content, it gets harder and harder to find things for searchers, and harder and harder to get through to people for sites. SEO is the solution.

What are your views on Search Engines? Have they helped or hindered your website?

About 65% of our traffic came 9and still comes) from web search engines. They have only helped us (and helped the people who searched for us as well !). You can call it win-win.

What would you like to see change with respect to the internet?

Fewer badly designed sites, and by that we mean aesthetic, and also technical. There’s alot of half-baked stuff out there! But, that’s what happens with am open medium. the solution is not to regulate, the solution is to educate!
