New development of the Marquis Estate at Marquis Bay, St. Lucia. Proposed 5 star hotel to manage the development. Showing investment potential for those looking for a hands free property investment
What inspired you to launch your own website?
To keep investors upto date with latest news from the developer on prices, availability and construction photographs
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
many years ago, a computer support information website
How did you decide on a name for your website?
its the name of the development
What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?
its got the latest news, images and information there are others of a similar nature, but there just selling - this is an information resource
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
once the development has been completed in 2013 then to change the website to take holiday reservations for people wishing to stay there
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
it'll depend on the number of people who invest in the property available.
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
a monthly on the ground image gallery showing the construction photos as and when the land is cleared and building starts probably a forum as well - which we might well do anyway
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
we'll employ more people to cover the additional resource required
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
none so far - which is good
What has been your biggest challenge?
getting the css code right - it still doesn't quite look right in firefox, but thats about it so far
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
linking from forums, blogs etc and some paid advertising on Google
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
its doing what we expected which is great, we could do with more enquiries though
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
the sites been running for a couple of months but will be around for at least the next 8 to 10 years maybe more, just depends on the changing nature
