What inspired you to launch your own website?

The fact that i could not find a reliable website to find a flat in singapore.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

In mid 2007, just a dream & idea at that time!

How did you decide on a name for your website?

research, space-to-live makes sense doesn't it?

What makes it different from other, similar offerings?

Regularity, relevance & lack of Bull@#$t. Most web listings are days if not weeks old. At space-to-live the most is a day old.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

Want to make it the top site for properties in Singapore.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

Too early to decide, seeing good progress though.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

More data, more advertising. I think the format is optimal. Maybe a bit more ajax.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

Ya sure, my data entry & IT is all outsourced & very scalable

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

Downtimes, bandwidth issues, the usual.....

What has been your biggest challenge?

Getting it updated on an economical basis.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

word of mouth, google, yahoo....

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

tougher, takes a lot of dedication & time

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

As long as it takes, I know the site has what it takes.
