SingaporeTree.com provides Singapore Property Match. Providing quality and efficient services for your buying, selling, renting, or expats relocation need. Singapore HSR Property Group listings and property database. Home owners can list properties for free! Classifieds service - to target singapore or worldwide base.
What inspired you to launch your own website?
I find a need to create a property portal with listings for buyers and tenants who are looking for Singapore properties. The page must be more informative, with property photos for superior listings, and better customer satisfaction. Home owners can also list their properties with me to maximise the exposure of their listings.
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
SingaporeTree.com was launched in 2006, as a Singapore Property Portal.
How did you decide on a name for your website?
It was a creative spark and matching of words between myself and my business partner. A tree is a great symbol for a home. The roots of the tree symbolises a firm foundation for many asians. The tree itself is a home and habitat to many organisms too. Best of all, Singapore is filled with many green trees! So SingaporeTree is indeed a suitable name, isin't it?
What makes it different from other, similar offerings?
Dedicated listings for singapore homes and properties. Detailed listings with photos help propspective customers to have a better understanding of Singapore homes. Quality and efficient services for buying, selling, renting, and relocation needs. :)
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
To provide a service to all who are interested in Singapore Properties, looking to buy Singapore real estate, rent a property and home in Singapore, or to sell their singapore properties. Expats coming to Singapore can select properties that fit their requirements before their actual arrival. Main goal is to provide a Singapore Property Match for all.
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
Development is unlimited in all aspects I guess, so its quite hard to put it all down in words.
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
There is always the option to outsource the workload!
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
So far, so good!
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
Internet marketing, Newpaper Advertisements. A combination of all marketing channels actually.
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
There were no expectations to begin with. I started it, and went with the flow. Whatever was demanded, I tried my best to supply it. So far, I've received compliments on how informative the singapore property match and listings have helped many in their singapore home search!
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
I will definitely keep this up and running. It is the fruit of my labour, and is almost like bring up your own child! Will you discard your child?
