Californians and Rental Properties

South Austin, Texas, is one of those areas in the United States with a large number of rental homes owned by absentee owners.

While it is quite expected that majority of the owners are really from Texas, I am quite surprised to find out that a significant portion of the pie (around 10%) is controlled by Californians. It looks like they are taking over the entire nation.
