Describe the main purpose of your blogging, what are you trying to accomplish?
To Get the word out on one of the greatest places our country has to live in.
What blogging platform do you do and why?
I use a heavily modified Blogger.com platform hosted at my own domain. I like the system, it ranks well with the search engines.
What do you blog the most about?
Skagit County Real Estate. Local Events, Business, etc...
What kind of blogs make you angry?
Anything negative. Too many blogs are filled with anger and hatred. I see no reason for that. It is fine to disagree with someone and make an intelligent arguement for the other side without attacking the person.
Give five of your best blogging tips.
1) Write often and well. 2) Spell check your work. 3) Keep in mind that anyone can and might read what you wrote. (i.e. Would your mother/daughter approve of what you said?) 4) Stay positive. 5) Keep your audience in mind, rather than your own ego.
What are some things you would NEVER blog about?
anything attacking another person (their ideas are fair game)
Did you start blogging for the purpose of making money and if so, are you making enough money?
I blog to attract business and to let people learn something about me. I also blog to get the word out on things happening in my community to help it grow even stronger. The synergy helps me, my family, my community and my life in general. - There is always room to make more money, but I'm doing well.
How long have you been blogging?
About a year and a half in a few places.
About how many hours per day do you spend blogging?
It varies from none to a couple hours or so. Depends on how much time I have available and the topics in my head at the time...
Do you track RSS feeds and if so, how many do you usually track daily?
nope...
Do you use Digg, and why or why not?
Not yet. I don't know enough about it.
Do you use Stumbleupon, and why or why not?
Nope. Never heard of it.
What promotional techniques work best for you and why?
Online, Blogging with keyword rich text and proper SEO work; In Print, The Real Estate Book magazine and my personal marketing materials.
Both get the word out well.
If you could post a blog on any blog in the world, which one would it be and why?
Sorry, I don't have a clue....
What mistakes have you made that you could warn others about?
Spell check, spell check, spell check.... Otherwise it is easy to look foolish!

ActiveRain.com - a lot of great info from a real estate community. RSSpieces.com - Mary McKnight is smart and has great info. that is about all I read...
Have you met anyone offline as a result of your blog?
yes... new customers.
