Minocqua-Northern Wisconsin Real Estate listings. Minocqua Realtors specializing in lake front homes, waterfront properties and vacant land for sale in Northern Wisconsin. Northwoods MLS.
What inspired you to launch your own website?
I found it to be another opportunity to aquire buyers and sellers. Most buyers and sellers come through the internet.
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
I launched my first site approximately 7 years ago. The site name is the same as it is today and is a real estate information site.
How did you decide on a name for your website?
Managed a company with a similiar name that was not capitalizing on its name or similiar names through the internet.
What makes it different from other, similar offerings?
It is one of a few sites that offer a complete and updated Northwoods Multiple Listing Service. I also believe it to be one of the easiest to navigate as well when compared to my local competition.
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
Currently I plan to keep the site for income flow, however selling it is also something to consider in the future.
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
Time put into maintaining and marketing my web site is time well spent. As the saying goes, You get what you put into it!
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
Additional links would be something I would consider developing to get better page rank.
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
Absolutely, as we have over 24 full time agents to provide professional service to buyers and sellers.
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
Constantly trying new marketing approaches.
What has been your biggest challenge?
Staying on top.
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
Submitting to top directories.
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
It is really easy, however very time consuming.
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
My site has been up and running for 8 years. I do this for a living and dont plan to retire any time soon so I would have to say for quite a while.
Is your site easy to use and navigate?
Yes, my site is very easy to use and easy to navigate as well. I have many of the top City/Town search names with links directly to available properties as well as a complete Northwoods MLS search by lake, town, county, etc...I also always welcome constructive critisism.
