Paying off my mortgage: what are the options?

On 04/20/09 20:44, Steve Penney asked the following question:

After 8 months on the market, we have accepted an offer on our home that is less than what we actually owe on the mortgage. We did an 80/20 loan and will have enough to pay off the first, but will be about 15K short on the 2nd. Do we have any options based on what has happened to the housing market, or will we have to obtain an unsecured loan for the difference?
